Great Plains Welsh Heritage Endowment Trust

Your donations will help preserve the history of Welsh settlements all across the North American prairie lands. The Great Plains Welsh Heritage & Culture Centre, Inc. is the only repository of this heritage. Please contribute generously to help preserve the memories of our brave ancestors who left their homeland, endured a hazardous ocean voyage, and broke the prairie, so that we, their descendants, could have a better life!

The GPWHP Endowment Trust has been established to provide a perpetual income for the parent GPWHP. It has been formed as a Supporting Organization to the GPWHP and is permanently required to support only the parent organization. It operates under the GPWHP 501(c)(3) non-profit status.

Trustees of the endowment trust are Berwyn E. Jones, PhD, of Lincoln, Robert Minish, Esq. of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Ada Mae Lewis, PhD, of Ames, Iowa, Mr. Kenneth R. Jones, Jr., retired insurance executive of Lincoln, Nebraska and Mr. Jeffery Nelson, businessman and community activist in Wymore, Nebraska.

The endowment is constrained to pay the GPWHP a minimum of the lesser of the annual income of the fund or 8% of fair market value of the endowment. Additional funds may be paid only by majority vote of the trustees, with those who are also trustees of the GPWHP abstaining. At present that would require an unanimous vote of the remaining trustees.

Now the really hard work begins for the GPWHP and we are asking for your help. So that Wymore may have a truly first-class chronicle of its story and the Welsh settlement of the Great Plains, we wish to create more modern, interactive museum exhibits.

We hope you will join us by making a donation in the highest amount your family budget can afford. Your name will be added to the list of 275 donors who have already contributed. Remember donations are tax deductible. Fed. ID #47-0844022
